The Promise, in One Paragraph
When Elmstead Remodeling finishes a job at your home, the work is covered for 365 days from the date we complete it. If something we built, installed, or repaired doesn’t hold up the way it should, call us and we come back – no charge, no argument, no paperwork chase. That’s the whole promise. Nothing buried. Nothing asterisked. Just the work standing behind itself.
What’s Covered
- Our workmanship, on every scope we performed: if a tile we set cracks at the grout line, a cabinet door we hung drops out of square, or a fixture we installed starts to leak, that’s on us to fix.
- Materials we sourced and installed: products we supplied – whether that’s a KraftMaid cabinet, a Cambria countertop, a Kohler fixture, or a Schluter trim piece – are covered for defects in how we installed them during the 365-day window.
- A return visit at no charge: if you call within 365 days, the visit costs you nothing. We don’t charge a trip fee, a diagnostic fee, or anything else to come look.
- A full re-do if a repair doesn’t hold: if we come back and the fix fails again, we don’t patch and leave – we find the root cause and address it properly.
- Clean-up after every return visit: same standard as the original job. Shoe covers, drop cloths, and a photo of the space before we walk out the door.
- A straight answer: if we come back and find the problem isn’t something we caused, we tell you plainly what it is and who can help – no runaround.
What Isn’t Covered
We try to be honest about the edges here, because a promise with hidden carve-outs isn’t a promise. These exclusions are ones most homeowners would call fair:
- Storm damage, flooding, or accidents after we leave: if a pipe bursts from a freeze event or a fallen branch damages the area we worked on, that’s a different kind of problem – not a workmanship failure. We’ll still come look if you’re not sure which it is.
- Work done by another contractor after ours: if a different crew touched the same area after Elmstead finished, we can’t stand behind what they did. We can help you sort out what’s what.
- Parts or materials the homeowner supplied: if you provided the fixture, the tile, or the cabinet and asked us to install it, our coverage is on the installation labor – not on the product itself.
- Normal wear on things we didn’t install: an existing faucet that starts to drip, a hinge that was already loose before we arrived, paint that scuffs on a wall we didn’t paint – those aren’t ours to cover.
- Problems you chose not to address when we flagged them: sometimes during a job we spot something outside our scope and let you know. If you decided to hold off, and that issue develops further, that’s outside the promise. We always document what we flagged.
- Manufacturer defects: if a Grohe valve or a Wellborn cabinet door has a factory defect, the manufacturer’s own warranty applies – and we’ll help you file it, because those brands stand behind their products.
How to Use the Promise
Step 1: Call (949) 850-9896 – or book online
A live person answers, every hour of every day – no voicemail, no bot, no waiting until Monday. Just tell us you’re calling about a completed Elmstead job and we take it from there.
Step 2: Tell us the job and roughly when it was done
We have every job on file. There’s no receipt to dig up, no form to fill out, and no confirmation number to hunt for – just a description of the work and an approximate date is enough for us to pull the record.
Step 3: We schedule the return visit
We set a time that works for your household – including your family’s schedule, your pets, and your quiet hours if you need them. We show up in uniform, background-checked, the same way we did the first time.
Step 4: We make it right
We assess, we fix, and we clean up before we leave – same shoe covers, same drop cloths, same clean-up photo. If the repair needs a second visit to get right, we come back. That’s what the promise means.
Timing
The 365-day window opens on the date Elmstead considers the job complete – typically the date of your final walk-through. If you notice something on day 366, call anyway. We’re not in the business of checking calendars when something looks wrong; we’re in the business of doing right by the home. Each Elmstead location is independently owned and operated, but every one holds to the same Cedarwell Care Promise. Wherever your job was done, the same terms apply.
Questions About the Promise
If you’re not sure whether something is covered, or you just want to talk through what you’re seeing, call (949) 850-9896. A real person picks up. There’s no claim form, no hold queue, and no wrong question. We’d rather you call and find out it’s nothing than sit with a problem you’re not sure about.
