Mention the offer when you book. One offer per household per visit; offers can’t be combined with each other and don’t apply to work already quoted or completed. Local pricing and availability vary by location - your local Elmstead Remodeling team confirms the final price in writing before any work begins.
Every job is priced the same way: a free written estimate
We price the job, not the hour. Before anyone touches anything, you get the full price for the specific work in writing - no hourly meter, no membership to join, no financing to sign, and no line items added afterwards. If the number isn’t right for you, the estimate is still free and you owe us nothing.
How We Price Construction Work
Every job at Elmstead Remodeling is priced job by job, off a free written estimate. There is no hourly rate, no membership to join, nothing to sign up for. Before anyone lifts a tool in your home, you see the full number in writing.
That matters more than it might sound. Construction work has a way of growing on paper if a contractor prices loosely at the start and fills in the details later. We don’t do that. The written estimate is the price. You see the whole thing – scope, materials, and what we’ll do to protect the house while we work – before you decide anything. If the number works for you, we move forward. If it doesn’t, you’ve lost nothing.
What a Visit Actually Costs You to Find Out

Nothing. The estimate visit is free, and that’s not a limited-time condition – it’s how we work on every job.
When we come out, we’ll walk the space with you, ask what you’re trying to accomplish, and take a close look at what’s actually there. Most estimate visits take between thirty minutes and an hour depending on the scope. At the end of it, you get a written price – not a ballpark, not a range we’ll firm up later. A real number for the real job. You’re under no obligation to book. Calling us to find out what a project costs is just that: finding out.

When People Usually Call Us
Construction work comes up in waves, and after doing this since 2005, Graham Stein has a feel for them.
A lot of calls come in late winter and early spring, when families have spent a season staring at the bathroom that never got fixed or the kitchen layout that stopped making sense years ago. Planning ahead gives you more time to get the estimate right and choose materials without rushing.
Summer brings a different kind of call – someone who just closed on a house and wants the remodel done before they move in, or a family whose kids are out of school and the schedule finally opens up for a kitchen teardown.
Fall is quieter, but that’s often when the most focused homeowners call. They’ve been thinking about it all year, they know what they want, and they’d rather have the work finished before the holidays than scramble in January.
There’s no wrong time to call. If the project is on your mind, the estimate is free and the conversation is low-pressure. That’s true in February and it’s true in October.

AfterWhat You Can Expect From Us Either Way

A few things don’t change based on when you call, what size the job is, or whether a current offer applies to your visit.
Every project runs under the Cedarwell Care Promise. Shoe covers and drop cloths go down before anyone starts work – not as an upgrade, as a standard. We ask before we move or touch anything that belongs to you. We keep tools quieter during family rest hours where it’s possible. Where there’s a product choice, we look for pet-safe options. Before the crew leaves, someone takes a photo of the clean-up so you have proof the house was left right.
The 365-Day Done Right Promise covers every completed project. If something isn’t right after the job is done, we make it right. That commitment is stamped on every project, not attached to a fine-print expiration.
Written price before any work starts. Background-checked, uniformed crew. A live person answers the phone around the clock – not a voicemail box, not a bot. These aren’t special offers. They’re the baseline.
Common Questions
Is the estimate really free?
Yes, completely. We come out, walk the job with you, and give you a written price at the end. There’s no charge for the visit and no obligation to move forward. If you decide not to book, you owe us nothing. That’s been the policy since day one and it hasn’t changed.
Do you offer financing or a monthly payment plan?
We don’t, and that’s a deliberate choice. Every job is priced off a free written estimate – one number, in writing, before any work starts. We’ve found that approach is cleaner and more honest than payment products that add complexity most homeowners don’t want on a construction job. If you want to know what your project costs, the estimate tells you.
Can I combine two offers?
One offer per household per visit. If you’re not sure which one applies to your situation, call (949) 850-9896 and a live person will walk you through it – no waiting until business hours, no automated system.
Does the price change once work has started?
No. The written estimate is the price. If we open something up and find a condition that wasn’t visible during the estimate visit – something genuinely different from what we quoted on – we stop, explain what we found, and give you a revised written price before we go any further. You decide how to proceed. We don’t add line items and present them on the final invoice.
